The earth has an imbalance in terms of the distribution of its earthly goods, belongings, opportunities for a good life, for peace, for equal rights. There are many aspects that can be gathered and addressed under the hashtag # halftheworld: the many theaters of war around the world, hunger and poverty, racism and the right-wing twist.
2019 is also the year in which the 100 years of women's suffrage in Germany are commemorated, a date that marks a much longer struggle for half of humanity for equal rights and that is far from over.
All in all: Earth urgently needs an update. The artists of the VBK show in the upcoming UPDATE exhibition their statements with the different forms of artistic expression!
